A China Police Certificate is a certificate in respect of an individual issued by the Public Security Bureau (PSB) in China.
A Police Clearance is issued by the Police Officer within the District where the applicant resides, or formerly resided, in China.
The certificate is an official certificate states your name, address, date of birth and criminal record in entire China.
You must apply in person to the PSB that oversees the district where you live or have ever lived. Although all the PSBs utilize the same centralized police system serving whole country, applicant can only apply from the PSBs where they live or lived.
Getting your China Police Certificate in Zhengzhou
STEP 1. Apply for Zhengzhou Police Certificate at Zhengzhou Public Security (PSB) Sub-bureau. Zhengzhou Public Security (PSB) Sub-bureau checks whether the applicant has criminal records and issues the Zhengzhou Police Certificate.
STEP 2. Submit the Police Certificate to Zhengzhou Notary Public Office for notarization. Zhengzhou Notary Public issues the Notarial Certificate of Criminal Record Check.
The following documents are required
1. Scan copy of current and previous passport photo pages, the pages with China visa, the pages with Chinese residence permit and the pages with China exit & entry stamps.
2. Scan copy of study/employment certificate.
3. If you cannot submit documents in person, you need to provide a Power of Attorney (POA) to nominate a representative to apply for Police Certificate/Non-Criminal Record Certificate on your behalf. Sample of POA is as follows:

Processing time for Zhengzhou Non-Criminal Record
Regular time: 2-3 weeks excluding mailing time.
If you cannot obtain a criminal record certificate
It is not always possible to obtain a China Police Certificate, especially for those with short-term visas resided in China for less than 6 months.
If you are unable to obtain a police certificate in China, you must provide an explanation which details your attempts to obtain a certificate and confirms why it’s not possible. The officers will consider whether to waive the requirement based on your submission.
